I love the challenge of a complex project.
One thing all my portfolio examples - and products in general - have in common is the need for a keen analytical sense, inquisitive empathy for users, and a talent for collaboration in solving complex user interaction problems, on time and under budget.

A Brand New Product (Patch for Neurons, Ivanti)
#Product Design | #Research | #UX Design | #Leadership | #UX Process | #SaaS
The mission, for a product manager, a tech lead and I, was to create a cloud-based patching system from scratch, that would be the easiest to use and easiest to scale of any on the market.
The product is a 2025 Stratus Award winner, and I'm listed as a co-inventor on four engineering patents related to the product.
Impact: Earnings >$10M/Year

While doing usability testing for Patch for Neurons we heard a recurring theme among users. I turned that observation into a feature unique among industry products – and a couple of patents.
Impact: Innovation recognized by Gartner. Unique in market. Unlocked several large sales.

Responding to the Market (Ring Deployment for Ivanti Neurons)

#UX Design | #Visual Design | #Data Design | #User Research | #SaaS
The biggest single enhancement to Patch for Neurons has been Ring Deployment – allowing users to structure and manage automated testing of patch content.
Microsoft does it. We needed to do it better.
Impact: >$10M in sales dependent on feature.

I was on teams that placed in the running for two Ivanti corporate hackathons.
-
“Headless Console” (2019): My team proved that could drill through a port on the firewall to remotely manage on-premises patching consoles anywhere in the world. This led directly the development of Patch for Neurons. First place.
-
Patch for Mobile: I led a team of six – a UXer, a PM and four software engineers – in ideating ways to effectively use Patch in a mobile environment. Third Place out of over 80 entries.
